Pinole, Use of City Seal Questioned!

  A citizen questioned the use of Pinole’s City Seal on campaign literature during the October 16, 2012 City Council meeting. The flyers were distributed for incumbent Roy Swearengen’s City Council re-election campaign.

  The City’s attorney declined to answer on the legality of the seal’s use until he has time to research the statute.

  The matter is listed under the October 30 “Special Meeting” agenda as item 10-A under “New Business”.

  The question during the October 16 meeting caused such a raucous in the council chambers, that the meeting recessed to calm down the situation before resuming the meeting a short time later.

   It will be interesting to see what the City Attorney has found from his research.
