Event: Presentation on Growing California Natives from Seeds
California native seeds may seem stubborn, but understanding their natural rhythms can unlock successful growth. Join Eugene Shabelyanau and Daniel Galindo of CaliforniaNativeSeeds.com for an engaging presentation on growing California natives from seed.
Drawing on over 10 years of experience gardening in Castro Valley and the East Bay, they’ll share practical tips on seed preparation, dormancy, germination, soil, watering, and storage. Enjoy hands-on demonstrations, including scarifying lupine seeds, cold-moist stratification, and preparing nursery pots.
Whether you're a beginner or experienced gardener, you'll leave with useful knowledge and inspiration to grow beautiful, resilient native plants that support local biodiversity.
