RICHMOND, CA — A young mute man was identified by sheriff's deputies Tuesday evening after they found him on a bus in Berkeley early in the day.
The man was contacted by deputies at about 5:20 a.m. near Shattuck Avenue and Allston Way, sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Ray Kelly said.
As of about 9:40 p.m. the man had been identified and was going to be reunited with his family in San Francisco, Alameda County sheriff's officials said on Twitter.
