Chase Bank Robbed for Second Time in Two Days, One Arrested

The FBI is working with Pinole police to determine if the two robberies were connected.

It was déjà vu in Pinole on Thursday when a Chase Bank was robbed for the second time in two days, according to police. Police responded to the robbery at 1541 Fitzgerald Drive at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Officers discovered that a man had entered the bank and handed the teller a note that indicated those in the bank would be harmed if he wasn’t given money, police said. The teller complied, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled, police said. On Wednesday at 5:53 p.m., police responded to a robbery at the same bank following the exact same pattern, except the suspect in that incident was a woman.

Though that suspect has not been not located, police did find the suspect in Thursday’s robbery at a nearby Motel 6. Police identified the man, who has no known fixed address, as 40-year-old Jaeson Jackson. Jackson was arrested on suspicion of robbery and burglary and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
