Dental Assistant Accused Of Sex Acts With Child: Contra Costa DA
It is alleged that the sex acts with a child younger than 10 took place at a San Pablo dental office, the district attorney's office said.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — A San Pablo dental assistant has been charged with four counts of sexual acts with a child younger than 10 years old, the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office said Monday.
Bonerge Maldonado-Zaldana, 22, of Richmond worked at the San Pablo Towne Centre Dental Office where it is alleged the sexual acts with a minor took place Tuesday, April 5, the DA's Office said in a news release.
On Wednesday, April 6, investigators collected evidence and took statements from the victim’s mother, dental office staff, and the suspect.

Investigators determined there was probable cause to arrest Maldonado-Zaldana and on Friday, April 8, he was taken into custody.
The DA's Office filed charges the same day.

Maldonado-Zaldana was arraigned Monday and remained in custody at the county jail in Martinez where his bail is set at $2.2 million, jail records showed.
In addition to working at the San Pablo Towne Centre Dental Office, Maldonado-Zaldana was
formerly employed with Western Dental in El Cerrito, according to the DA's Office.
