Driver Injured By Flying Wheel On I-80 (Look!)

HERCULES, CA — A driver on I-80 had to be transported to the hospital for treatment after their car was hit by a wheel that flew off another vehicle on I-80 Sunday. The damage to the vehicle is incredible. A passenger refused medical treatment. In addition, two dogs in the car "were a little shaken but uninjured," according to firefighters.

According to Rodeo-Hercules Firefighters, "A tire and wheel came off of a car traveling in the EB lanes, crossed the center divide, hitting a car traveling in the WB lanes."

Quint76, Engine75 and MEDIC68 all responded to the crash.
