UPDATE: Richmond-San Rafael Bridge Reopens
Nine and a half hours after a fiery crash, the bridge is now open.

RICHMOND, CA – All lanes of Interstate 580 across the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge have reopened, following a fiery big rig crash into the guardrail mid-span, according to the California Highway Patrol. No one was injured.
All eastbound traffic was blocked from 8 a.m. to 5:17 p.m.
Crews had to clean up a hazmat situation, including spilled fuel. The bridge also has to be structurally cleared by Caltrans.
