Elderly Hercules Man Hit By Car
The 91-year-old man was struck while crossing the street on Tuesday.

HERCULES, CA —An elderly man was hospitalized after a vehicle struck him in Hercules on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The collision was reported at 4:02 p.m. by an officer who was driving on Sycamore Avenue near the Home Depot store when he saw a 91-year-old man lying in the roadway, according to police.
A 72-year-old man driving west on Sycamore had struck the pedestrian, who was walking south across the road from the entrance to the Home Depot Garden Center side of the parking lot, police said.

He was taken to Kaiser Permanente's Vallejo Medical Center with a complaint of pain to his right hip and some minor abrasions, police said.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
