Contra Costa College’s 4th Annual Food and Wine Event

This event will be held on the campus of Contra Costa College in San Pablo. All proceeds will directly benefit the Students in the Culinary Arts program through scholarships and program/facility improvements.

More than 40 popular restaurants and wineries will join with the students to present a brilliant offering of culinary excellence.  Participating restaurants will offer samples of their signature dishes. Tastings from the many participating wineries and microbreweries will also be offered along with non-alcoholic beverages. A cake raffle, auction, Tree of Abundance and cooking demonstrations are also planned.

The 3rd Annual Food and Wine Event helped benefit the students in the Culinary Arts program through scholarships, and a program to send six students to China, which was paid for by the proceeds from this event. The students attended the Martin Yan Cooking Academy in Southern China. There they studied the Art of China’s five major regional cooking styles in a ten-day program. The opportunity of traveling and studying abroad has provided unlimited benefits to the education and future of these aspiring culinary students.
