Installation of Women's History Month Exhibit at the Library

Library exhibit to recognize Women's History Month honorees
The Pinole Historical Society will install a new exhibit at the Pinole Library honoring the 13 Pinole winners of Women's History Month awards. March is  Women's History Month. The awards were first given in 2001; in 2005 and again in 2007 there were two winners from Pinole.
The honorees are Tammy Campbell, Marj Scott, Betty Boyle, Ivette Ricco, Maria Alegria, Amy Wooldridge, Betty Grimes, Belinda Espinosa, Margie Doty, Diane Springer, Dorothy Wakefield, Georgia Manessis, and Marcia Kalapus.
This year's winners will be honored at the 11th annual Women's History Month celebration Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m. in the John & Jean Knox Center for the Performing Arts at Contra Costa College, in San Pablo. The event is sponsored by Contra Costa College and the West Contra Costa Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW),

This exhibit joins the society's permanent exhibit honoring National Preservation Month, which is celebrated in May.
