This tournament at Franklin Canyon Gold Course is being conducted by the Pinole Community Services Commission as a fundraiser for recreation programs in the city. The recreation department must raise money to sustain its operations in the face of the city's budget crisis.
Fees are $99 per person, with a 10% discount for foursomes (includes green fees, cart, box lunch, 18 holes of golf, prizes, and a barbecue dinner at the Pinole Senior Center).
Golfers may register online at www.ci.pinole.ca.us or contact Recreation Director Amy Wooldridge at (510) 724-9062 or via e-mail at recreation@ci.pinole.ca.us. Deadline for entries is September 28.
Non-golfers can attend the barbecue for $12 per person.
