Dr. Christopher Waldrep will discuss “Citizenship and Equal Protection of the Law: The Impact of the Fourteenth Amendment on American History.” Dr. Waldrep is a professor of history at San Francisco State University. He is the author of seven books most of which explore the history of racial inequality and violence in the United States. This program is a collaboration between the West Contra Costa Unified School District Teaching American History Project and the Hercules Public Library.
