Hanna Ranch Elementary Gets California Department of Education Award

Hercules’ is tops, says the California Department of Education. This week, the department recognized Hanna Ranch as one of its 2012 Distinguished Elementary Schools.

Hanna Ranch was one of seven schools in Contra Costa County to be honored. Only two elementary schools in the West County district got the award.  

The state’s Distinguished Schools Program “honors some of California's most exemplary and inspiring public schools. Schools selected for the Distinguished School Award demonstrate significant gains in narrowing the achievement gap,” according the California Department of Education Website.
