Hercules Police Log: Drug Arrest, Car Crash on Railroad Tracks and More

Burglary: On September 7, 2012, at 7:38am, an Officer responded to the 100 block of Starling. The Reporting Party said her car had been burglarized, sometime during the night. Personal items and her handicap placard were taken. There were no signs of forced entry and the RP said she locked all her car doors.
Non- Injury Collision: On September 7, 2012, at 1:35pm, a Motorcyclist lost control of his motorcycle, in the 2000 block of Refugio Valley Road, and rear ended the vehicle in front of him.
Drug Possession: On September 7, 2012, at 2:23pm, an Officer stopped a 1994 Nissan Sentra for a traffic violation. During contact with the driver the Officer smelled a strong odor of fresh marijuana coming from inside the Nissan. During the search of the Nissan, the Officer found a black plastic bag containing a large amount of marijuana, pills that tested positive for a controlled substance, and a scale. 32 year old Michael Erik Marshall, of Richmond, was arrested for Possession, Transporting, and Sales, of Marijuana and a Controlled Substance.
Vandalism: On September 7, 2012 at 9:07 p.m. Hercules Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Vierra Way. The reporting party said her ex- boyfriend was trying to break down the front door. While en-route, dispatch advised the suspect was leaving in a White Toyota Camry. An Officer located the Toyota, N/B on Refugio Valley Rd. Another officer contacted the reporting party. He noticed the front door to the residence was damaged when the suspect attempting to force entry to the home. The reporting party did not want
prosecution against the suspect. The suspect was released with a warning not to return to the residence.
Bobcop Report (Auto Burglary): On September 8, 2012 at 12:00 a.m. A resident from the 100 block of Bobolink Way submitted an online report for an auto burglary. The reporting party said an unknown suspect gained entry into his locked ’97 Nissan Altima, sometime between 10:30 PM, on 09/06/12, and 6:45 AM HRS on 09/07/12. The loss was a backpack, electronic items, and personal papers.
Suspicious Activity: On September 8, 2012, at 9:53am, an Officer responded to the 1800 block of Redwood Rd. The Reporting party said that one of the boards to the ramp, on the side of her house, had been burned out.
Driving Under the Influence: On September 8, 2012 at 11:28 p.m. an Officer stopped a 97 Oldsmobile, for a traffic violation. The driver, 22 year old Travis Williams Jr. of Richmond, displayed objective signs & symptoms of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol; and wasarrested. Williams Jr. was later cited and released to a friend.
Hit and Run Collision: On September 9, 2012 at 6:28 a.m. Hercules Officers were dispatched to the area of Sycamore Ave. at State Route 4. The reporting party said a Black Toyota Prius had crashed onto the railroad tracks. Officers located a 2004 Toyota Prius high-centered onto the railroad tracks which run parallel to Sycamore Avenue, prior to Claey’s Lane. The registered owner of the vehicle was on scene. She said her 16-year-old son took her vehicle without her permission. The son reportedly returned home at 5:30 AM and told this mother he took her vehicle, and crashed it. The owner said her son told her
the location of the vehicle, and she came to see if she could recover it. The vehicle was not drivable and was towed, per the owner’s request. Rodeo-Hercules Fire assisted with clearing the debris field from the roadway. The Railroad was notified of the collision, after the tracks were cleared.
Burglary: On September 9, 2012 at 8:11am, an Officer responded to the Caltrans yard in the 1300 block of Willow Ave. The Reporting Party said that, sometime last night, the Conex box belonging to the alternative work program, was broken into. The only item, that appeared to be missing, was a backpack type leaf blower. The lock and the latch on the rollup door had been ripped off.
Petty Theft: On September 9, 2012, at 8:50 A.M., an Officer was dispatched to the100 block of Starling Way. The residents discovered their garage door opener; registration card, with 2013 sticker; and insurance card were missing; from their 2004 Toyota Prius. The victims were not sure when, or where, the offense occurred. They think it happened sometime over the weekend. There were no signs of forced entry.
Battery: On September 9, 2012, at 4:14 P.M., Officers were dispatched to the group home, in the 100 block of Hawk Court. The Reporting Party said one of their clients had just struck another client in the face; and parties were separated. The officers determined that both involved parties were male juveniles. A 16 year old male juvenile was placed under citizen’s arrest by the victim. After notifying the suspect’s probation officer, he was issued a citation
for battery and released to the caretaker at the home.
Petty Theft: On September 9, 2012, at 5:24 P.M., an Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Paradise. The residents reported that a red Mongoose BMX bicycle was taken from their front porch area, today, between 9:30 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.
Unwanted Subject: On September 9, 2012 at 9:42 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the area of Forest Run at Village Parkway for a suspicious subject. The caller stated a male was walking around the neighborhood, and did not seem to belong there. A resident from the 2000 block of Forest Run called stating two of her relatives were at her condo refusing to leave. Officers contacted one of the males and he left the area, after being told to do so.
Possession of Drugs: On September 10, 2012, at 12:08 P.M., an Officer saw a male walking in the field area at the end of Forest Run. He contacted the man at the emergency fire access. The Officer identified the man as 32 year old Sean Jordan, of Santa Rosa. Jordan had a non-extraditable warrant, from Youngstown, Ohio, for a parole violation. Jordan gave the officer permission to search his person. The officer found a “bindle” containing, what is believed to be a controlled substance. Jordan was arrested and transported to Martinez
Detention Facility.
Identity Theft: September 10, 2012 at 7:34 PM Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Athena. The Reporting Party stated she received several letters indicating she recently applied for, and received, new credit accounts. The Reporting Party said she has only completed one credit application recently and does not know anything about the other accounts she reportedly opened
Possession of a Controlled Substance and Identity Theft: September 10, 2012, 10:20 PM an Officer made a contact with three males inside the Forest Run complex. All three males consented to being searched. The officer found a controlled substance on one of the males; and stolen mail on a second male. 30 year old Saelee, Mouang, of Oakland, was arrested for Possession of Stolen Mail and Identity theft. 20 year old Saephan, Sane, of Richmond, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
