Juvenile Rescued From North Richmond House FIre
The juvenile was taken to an area hospital for medical evaluation. The cause of the fire remains unclear.
RICHMOND, CA — Firefighters rescued a juvenile from a burning house Saturday night in unincorporated North Richmond, a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District captain said.
The fire, at 329 Chesley Ave. in North Richmond, was reported at 5:42 p.m. Fire Capt. Tracie Dutter said firefighters were on hand four minutes later to find a room in the house burning.
Firefighters rescued a juvenile from the house, Dutter said. She did not provide an age of the victim, who was taken to an area hospital for medical evaluation. No one else was injured.

Sixteen firefighters, plus several Contra Costa County Sheriff's deputies, responded to the scene. The fire, which was knocked down by 5:55 p.m. Saturday, was largely contained to one room, Dutter said.
Firefighters were still on scene at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, said Dutter, adding that the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
