Letter to the Editor: Friends of the Pinole Library Membership Drive
A member of of the Friends makes an appeal in times of budget cuts and modern technology challenges.
In these days, when libraries are buffeted on one side by a lack of local, state, and federal money, and on the other side by new communication and research devices, support for our Pinole Library is vital.
Friends of the Pinole Library members are hosting a membership-drive meeting Wednesday, September 19, at 6 p.m. at the library. Please join me and other members to promote the health of the library, which is one of the most vital resources in our community. You will also learn how the Friends support our library.
