Loaded Pistol Seized, Man Arrested In Pinole: Police
The accused man discarded while running from an officer, police report.
PINOLE, CA — Pinole Police arrested a man on suspicion of carrying a concealed firearm, having a concealed or unregistered firearm, and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place, they reported last Friday.
Officer Ly spotted the man on Canyon Drive and thought that he was acting suspiciously. The man fled up El Toro Way, according to police in a Facebook post. He ran between parked cars on the street, weaving through them.
Officer Ly reported seeing the man duck behind a parked car in a driveway and then heard a loud noise that sounded like metal hitting the pavement.

The man was detained, and police searched the area where the sound came from. A loaded 45 caliber pistol was found, according to police.
The man was booked into jail at Martinez Detention Facility.
