Lois Woodfeldt passes away peacefully at the age of 89 years old.

Lois Woodfeldt Oct. 11, 1926 Nov. 11, 2015 Contra Costa County Resident Lois Woodfeldt passed away peacefully on November 11, 2015 at 89 years old. Born in Chadron, Nebraska, she graduated from Richmond High School in 1944. She also lived in many places before settling in Contra Costa County for over 50 years. Lois is survived by her loving family: sister Dorothy Gomez, her children Paula Eeds (Dan) of Pinole and Rita Orr of Vacaville. She was a wonderful aunt and grandmother to 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, including a great-granddaughter arriving in January, 2016. As a member of the YLI (Young Ladies Institute), she met her future husband, Art, a member of the Young Men’s Institute. Lois retired from Alta Bates/Herrick Hospital after working as a medical secretary. Her interests included the Pinole Garden Club, gardening, and rooting for the home team her beloved Oakland A’s. At Brookdale Retirement home she stayed active as the Chorus Director and enjoyed playing BINGO and Jeopardy. Proceeded in death by her parents, Alfred and Dorothy Back; her siblings Robert Back, Helen Craft and William Craft; her husband Arthur Woodfeldt and her son, Ernest Woodfeldt. Services to be held at St. Joseph Church, 837 Tennant Avenue, Pinole, on December 29, 2015. Rosary at 12:00 P.M., with funeral following at 1:00 P.M.
