Poll: Lupine Hills First Grader Suspended on Allegations of “Sexual Assault”

The boy was suspended after a schoolyard incident last month, the New York Times reported.

A six-year-old boy was suspended for allegedly touching another child’s upper thigh, or possible groin, on the playground last month, a New York Times article reported today.

Levina Subrata, the accused boy’s mother, commented to the Times. She said the children were only playing a game of tag and that there was no sexual intent on her son’s part.

The article reported that apparently no one witnessed the touch, but the school’s suspension notice, which went out to Subrata, said her son “committed or attempted to commit a sexual assault…”

Subrata’s son has been transferred to a different school since the incident, the Times reported.

Lupine Hills is one of three elementary schools, all public and part of the West Contra Costa Unified School District, in Hercules.
