Marijuana Grow Houses Busted In Hercules
Hercules Police seized more than 1,000 plants, cash, a boat and bank accounts.
HERCULES, CA — Hercules Police have raided two marijuana grow houses netting 1,600 plants that are valued at $3,900,000 annually, along with $20,000 in cash, a boat, and three frozen bank accounts.
Police were met with "security devices and defensive measures," they said in a social media posting. "They barricaded doors, had internal and external internet based cameras, and built hardened walls inside the residences."
No injuries were reported.

Police released a photo album of the raids, showing "Spliced electrical wiring, extension cords plugged into extension cords, large quantities of chemicals," and advised residents of noxious odors and extreme fire danger.
