Conta Costa Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that left two people dead on Sandy Cove Drive Wednesday afternoon.

RODEO, CA- A shooting that left two people dead this afternoon in unincorporated Rodeo is being investigated as a possible murder-suicide, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office.

The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Sandy Cove Drive, sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

Shortly after 3:30 p.m., the sheriff's office announced on Twitter that the shooting left two dead and the incident is being looked at as a potential murder-suicide.

Original Report: Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting reported this afternoon in unincorporated Rodeo, a Contra Costa County sheriff's spokesman said.

A call came in around 2:30 p.m. today regarding a shooting in the 800 block of Sandy Cove Drive in Rodeo, sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

Lee was not immediately able to provide additional details on the incident, which is under investigation.
