Diamonds in the Rough: Pinole Hercules Little League

With the Little League World Series in full swing, it's fitting, proper and timely to pay homage to the global sport of baseball by sharing these photos of local ballplayers in action.

Pinole Patch thanks Debbie Ojeda for sending these shots of a pensive pitcher and a stand-up catcher taken during a Pinole Hercules Little League game. The images are lasting testimonials to the game and to the kids — whether or not they eventually make a trip to Willamsport, Pennsylvannia, to a Major League team or to Cooperstown, New York.
