Pedestrian Dies After Hit By Semi-Truck On San Pablo Ave.
The collision occurred Monday at an intersection in Pinole, officials said.

PINOLE, CA – A pedestrian died after they became trapped under a semi-truck this morning in Pinole, police said.
Around 9:50 a.m., officers responded to a collision at the intersection of San Pablo Avenue and Appian Way involving a pedestrian.
There, officers found the male pedestrian trapped underneath the truck. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The truck's driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Police are working with the coroner to determine the victim's identity.

The fatal collision caused San Pablo Avenue to be closed between Appian Way and Jones Avenue as officers investigated with help from the California Highway Patrol. The roadway reopened around 4 p.m.
