Pinole Police Log: Home and School Burglaries, Stolen Vehicles and More
The Pinole police calls for the week ending Aug. 24 range from a kid "throwing things at cars" to an armed robbery on Estates Avenue.

Saturday, August 18
12:22 AM – Officers attempted to contact a subject during a security check at the Green Lantern. The subject was taken into custody for obstruction of justice and was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
10:01 AM – A traffic stop was made on westbound Interstate 80 near Appian Way. The driver was cited for driving without a license.
12:11 PM – A traffic stop was made in the 2100 block of Appian Way. The driver was cited for driving without a license.
12:50 PM – A theft was reported at K-Mart. Two subjects were arrested for burglary and conspiracy. One of the subjects was also arrested for violation of probation. They were both transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
1:49 PM – Vandalism was reported in the 400 block of Dohrmann Lane.
6:58 PM – A report was received of a minor injury accident involving a pedestrian that had occurred earlier in the 1000 block of Marlesta Road.
7:58 PM – Loud music was reported in the 2300 block of Wight Avenue. The responsible subjects were admonished.
9:24 PM – A security check was requested at a residence in the 2400 block of Wright Avenue due to unlocked doors. The house was checked and no problems were found.
11:33 PM – Officers responded to a report of a fight near Chevron. One subject was arrested for public intoxication and obstruction of justice and was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Sunday, August 19
8:36 AM – Advice was given about a civil matter in the 2500 block of Samuel Street.
9:17 AM – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 3300 block of Diablo Circle. It was checked and no problems were found.
11:16 AM – A vehicle accident with injuries occurred in the 2600 block of Appian Way.
2:03 PM – An auto burglary was reported in the 1300 block of Fitzgerald Drive.
6:20 PM – Subjects causing a disturbance were reported at Chuck E. Cheese’s. They were admonished.
8:37 PM – A vehicle was stolen in the 1400 block of Fitzgerald Drive.
11:29 PM – A vehicle was stolen in the 2500 block of Rebecca Drive.
Monday, August 20
6:25 AM – A residential burglary was reported in the 100 block of Woy Circle.
7:56 AM – Officers conducted a parole search of a residence in San Pablo. Two subjects were taken into custody for marijuana cultivation, possession of marijuana for sale, utility fraud, and conspiracy. They were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
12:37 PM – Subjects causing a disturbance were reported in the 1200 block of San Pablo Avenue. They were admonished.
2:52 PM – A hit and run occurred in the 700 block of Tennent Avenue.
3:24 PM – A report was taken to document possible stalking in the 300 block of Dursey Drive.
3:38 PM – A subject causing a disturbance was reported at Fernandez Park. He was admonished.
7:29 PM – Reckless drivers were reported on Pinole Valley Road near Wright Avenue. They were gone when officers arrived.
8:35 PM – Gunshots were reported in the 2300 block of Simas Avenue. The area was checked and no problems were found.
8:50 PM – A loud explosion was reported by several callers in Pinole. The source was not determined but it was possibly due to a transformer problem.
11:28 PM – Noisy subjects were reported in the 100 block of Woy Circle. They were admonished.
Tuesday, August 21
12:36 AM – An intoxicated subject causing a disturbance was reported in the 2500 block of Samuel Street.
4:12 AM – Officers checked a suspicious occupied vehicle near Motel 6. One subject was arrested for warrant and was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
8:00 AM – A residential burglary was reported in the 1800 block of Marlesta Court.
10:36 AM – A non-injury accident occurred on Appian Way near Interstate 80.
2:40 PM – Suspicious activity was reported in the 2800 block of Estates Avenue. The involved parties were gone when officers arrived and no problems were found.
4:36 PM – Officers responded to fraudulent activity at Bank of America. One subject was arrested for forgery and fraud and was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
8:07 PM – A report was received of a subject causing a disturbance in the 1500 block of Fitzgerald Drive. The subject was arrested for public intoxication and was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
8:10 PM – A residential burglary was reported in the 2300 block of Ramona Street.
11:50 PM – An armed robbery occurred in the 2700 block of Estates Avenue. The suspect was not located during a check of the area and a report was taken to document the incident.
Wednesday, August 22
2:39 AM – A commercial burglary was reported in the 1500 block of Fitzgerald Drive.
9:02 AM – A disturbance was reported in the 800 block of Alvarez Avenue. The involved parties were gone when officers arrived.
10:10 AM – A theft was reported in the 2500 block of Downer Avenue.
12:30 PM – A possible road rage incident was reported on Appian Way near Fitzgerald Drive. The involved drivers were gone when officers arrived.
2:43 PM – Identity theft was reported in the 2500 block of Samuel Street.
4:36 PM – Loitering juveniles were reported on Emma Drive near Francis Drive. They were contacted and no problems were found.
4:53 PM – Found property was reported in the 100 block of Tennent Avenue.
6:21 PM – Assistance was rendered with a civil matter involving a child custody exchange at Pinole Valley High School.
9:12 PM – Assistance was rendered with a civil matter in the 800 block of Alvarez Avenue.
Thursday, August 23
7:19 AM – An auto burglary was reported in the 700 block of San Pablo Avenue.
9:51 AM – Property was found in the 900 block of San Pablo Avenue.
11:33 AM – A burglary was reported at Collins School.
12:147 PM – A possibly drunk driver was reported on Pinole Valley Road near Granada Court. The car was gone when officers arrived.
1:24 PM – A vehicle theft was reported at Motel 6.
2:50 PM – A residential burglary was reported in the 2500 block of Henry Avenue.
3:47 PM – A subject was reported to be going through recycling bins in the 2700 block of Wright Avenue. The subject was gone when officers arrived.
4:03 PM – A juvenile was reported to be throwing things at cars in the 1200 block of Hazel Avenue. They were gone when officers arrived.
4:27 PM – A residential burglary was reported in the 2600 block of Sonoma Way.
4:38 PM – An auto burglary occurred in the 1400 block of Fitzgerald Drive.
5:13 PM – Officers responded to report of a subject with a gun near Bayfront Park. The area was checked and no problems were found.
6:14 PM – A residential burglary was reported in the 2600 block of Alice Way.
7:22 PM – A subject was cited for theft at K-Mart.
8:51 PM – A domestic disturbance occurred in the 1500 block of Mann Drive.
10:28 PM – Eggs were thrown at a vehicle in the 3300 block of Ponderosa Trail by someone possibly known to the victim.
11:11 PM – Officers checked a suspicious occupied vehicle on Pinole Valley Road near Wright Avenue. One subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, and violation of probation. He was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Friday, August 24
12:56 AM – A subject was reported to be going through garbage bags in the 400 block of Dohrmann Lane. He was gone when officers arrived.
3:35 AM – A suspicious person was reported in the 2300 block of Monte Vista Drive. The subject was found to be intoxicated and was transported to a nearby friend’s home.
8:31 AM – A suspicious person was reported near Ellerhorst School. He was admonished and left.
12:22 PM – A theft of vehicle parts was reported in the 2500 block of Henry Avenue.
12:34 PM – Illegal dumping was reported in the 2600 block of Appian Way.
2:57 PM – A wallet was stolen from a purse at Lucky.
3:51 PM – Identity theft was reported in the 500 block of Sunnyview Drive.
4:06 PM – Illegal dumping was reported in the 500 block of Marlesta Road.
4:06 PM – An unwanted subject was reported in the 600 block of San Pablo Avenue. He was gone when officers arrived.
4:28 PM – A domestic disturbance occurred at Motel 6.
6:56 PM – An intoxicated subject was reported in the 600 block of San Pablo Avenue. They were gone when officers arrived.
