Pinole Valley High Band Teacher Earns Prestigious Award

PINOLE, CA — A Pinole Valley High teacher earned California’s prestigious “Band Directors Who Make a Difference” award for 2016-2017. Band Director Erik Radkieiwicz was recognized for his outstanding work by “School Band and Orchestra” magazine in the 19th annual, according to Principal Kibby Kleiman.

Kleiman says Radkieiwicz is an asset to the school and community.

“Our band plays over thirty shows a year, and now the country knows what we already do, that we have one of the best directors around, and he is a Spartan,” Kleiman said via email.
