Pinole Valley High School "construction delays" wth Pinole??

Sorry if this issue has already been discussed but I didn't see it in the archives so....what the hell is going on with the construction delays until 2018 for the new Pinole Valley High School and where is the student and parent outrage?

I drive by the now empty site every day and was excited to learn a couple years ago that a beautiful new campus was being built and glossy postcards sent out to nearby residents of the proposed new school confirmed this. After several months went by after demolition with no further activity, I was surprised to learn from Mayor Pete Murray that it wouldn't be rebuilt until 2018 due to the fact that "... the new school board members and high school is going through a political/philosophical exercise at the school board level, which has slowed but not stopped the project. I have heard the completion date will be in 2018".   Really?

This may well be, but I can't imagine students and their parents at El Cerrito High or Harding Middle would have stood for their old campus being torn down and then being told after that the funds were now not available for reconstruction and that the next two years would be spent in drafty portables.  

Come on PVH parents and students! Where's your voice and sense of outrage?
