Pinole Valley High Teacher Nominated for 'All Star Teacher' Award

Find out how you can vote for nominee Michele Lamons and help her win the $20,000 award.

PINOLE, CA: CSN Bay Area is rewarding one teacher this summer for their outstanding work, Pinole Valley High officials said Monday. Nominee Michele Lamons seeks the community's support to win the coveted All-Star Teacher award. Lamons' video and biography can be found at the television station’s website.

"Michele has been doing exemplary work at Pinole Valley for fourteen years, in charge of the district’s only American Sign Language program and the school’s award-winning Speech and Debate program," Principal Kibby Kleiman told Patch. "The winner of the $20,000 award will be announced after the June 1 deadline, and Michele’s site shows you many of the reasons why she is considered such a star."

Kleiman says Pinole Valley High is proud of the work Lamons does every day and is eager to share her accomplishments with the rest of the Bay Area.

"Voting is open now and can be done daily," Kleiman said. "It is an honor to be nominated and it would be a thrill to win the honor."
