  1. Pinole police seize M-1000 fireworks from stolen vehicle: Shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday, Pinole officers spotted a stolen vehicle on Fitzgerald Drive. According to a Pinole Police Department Facebook post, the driver was taken into custody and in a search of the car, officers came upon a clear plastic bag filled what appeared to be at least a dozen M-1000 type illegal explosives. The area was cordoned off and Walnut Creek Police Department's Bomb Squad responded and verified the explosives contained flash powder. (Facebook & Richmond Standard)
  2. Groom, best man stuck in elevator before wedding in Emeryville: On Saturday, Engine 35 responded to a call involving eight people trapped in an elevator in Emeryville. It so happens, the elevator occupants were a groom and his groomsmen who were now late for his wedding. The crew was able to assist in getting them out of the elevator… (Twitter and KRON4)
