The Rubins and Measure P were hand in hand!
With over 70% of the voters voting against measure P in June, I wonder who was responsible for placing it on the ballot in the first place?
If anyone who voted against Measure P in June wonders who was responsible for putting that measure on the ballot in the first place, in this case the current council voted to approve placing this measure on the ballot with a three to one vote with Toms dissenting and Long abstaining, later Toms came out in favor of Measure P, so our current council placed it there. But who made the arguments in favor of measure P, well I found a photo of that document on non other than Jeff Rubin's Facebook Page. In looking at that document, It appears that the culprits were none other than William and Mary Horton, Shirley Ramos and yes, you guessed it the Husband of current city council candidate Norma Martinez-Rubin, Jeff Rubin. All supporters of the three candidates, Tim Banuelos, Maureen Toms and Norma Martinez Rubin, these four names, the majority of our current council and the candidates they support were responsible for attempting to keep the status Quo in place. They didn't want change, even though Pinole voters did. Now Jeff claims that he found this on his porch, but I'm pretty sure he saw the original when he signed that document.
And Jeff claims it was left on his stoop in "the darkness of night" and he could be right, or is it just an assumption on his part, after all if he didn't see it placed, how would he know if the sun was up or not? Well I guess it's all in how you want to play the situation, if you're trying to present a "poor me" claim for sympathetic voters or not. He also accused a former city council member of placing it there, but in reality he doesn't know who did it or when. He probably needs to accuse other people for a change, after all he's trying to sling ten year old mud but it's sticking to his hands. His claims of how it appeared on his porch are a distraction to try and gain sympathy for his City Council Candidate wife from the voters. The real meat and potatoes of this story are who voted for the resolution, the current council except for Toms, and who argued in favor of the measure that eventually was dubbed Measure P and the answer to that question is the four names appearing on that document. So the choice is yours on November 6, support the "good ole boys" or support enthusiastic, very qualified, honest, genuine candidates with new ideas and who aren't tied to an old tired divisive agenda. There are three of them on the ballot, Vincent Salimi, Anthony Tave and Rafael Menis.Vote for change.
