Schools in the West Contra Costa Unified School District will be open on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, after being closed for one day because of the super soaker storm that bashed the Bay Area.
The West Contra Costa Unified School District has 54 schools serving 30,277 students in the cities of Hercules, Pinole, San Pablo, Richmond, and El Cerrito. The District also serves the unincorporated communities of Bayview-Montalvin, El Sobrante, Kensington, North Richmond and Tara Hills.
