Senior Manager Overseeing Sycamore North and HMU to Leave City

Hercules Municipal Services Director John Steir has plans to leave the city next month to enter back into the private sector.

Stier, who served as a senior manager under city managers Nelson Oliva, Charlie Long, Fred Deltorchio and Steve Duran, came to Hercules from Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc.

At the direction on Long, he was put in charge of managing a number of projects in the recent months, including Hercules Municipal Utility and Sycamore North.  Stier’s last day is November 10, he said.
