Stolen Gun Seized, Man Arrested In Hercules

HERCULES, CA — Hercules Police seized a stolen gun and arrested a man during a traffic stop Saturday night. Neyson Reyes, 20, was transported to county jail. Other occupants of the car were released.

The traffic stop happened around 11:45 p.m. While explaining the reason for the stop to Reyes, the officer noticed a black handgun on the driver’s floorboard. The officer got backup from the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office and safely detained everyone in the car.

The handgun was stolen out of Las Vegas, Nevada.
