Students at Lupine Hills Receive Backpacks, Supplies

The backpacks were filled with binders, paper, pens and pencils, calculators and other essential supplies.

Students at Lupine Hills Elementary School in Hercules received a surprise gift on their second day of school—brand new backpacks and school supplies thanks to the work of parents Wendy Wells and Henry Webb and New York Life and the Sheriffs and You Foundation.

The backpacks, filled with binders, paper, pens and pencils, calculators and other essential supplies were put together by Giving Tree, a local non-profit organization.

Board member Madeline Kronenberg, Hercules Vice Mayor Dan Romero, San Francisco Sheriffs Deputy Shedrick McDaniels, New York Life agents Joy Gibson and Alan Glenn, WCCUSD Executive Director Adam Taylor and Lupine Hills Principal Michael Aaronian visited classrooms to deliver the backpacks to excited students.
