PINOLE, CA — Many of us get so engrossed in running errands or checking our phones that we aren't present in the moment, noticing what's happening around us. Not true for Sandra Southerland who paused while at the Safeway parking lot in Pinole earlier this month. This stunning spectacle in the sky caught her attention - sunbeams from the setting sun streaking the sky like a painting.
