I originally was going to post a Performance Review of our city council members, but in the end, what really matters is how the council is performing as a whole, and the direction they are leading our city. Things are moving fast (some things less so), so the community needs to stay on top of things if we want to have any say in the many decisions currently, or soon to be, made.
A Patch commenter made some observations that caused me concern, resulting in this blog post. They pointed out that Hercules is adding more and more strip malls. I can't think of anything worse for Hercules. I would find it acceptable if we vaporized our current strip malls.
Maybe now's a good time to call for a Town Hall meeting. We could have an agenda with the following items: Development, Infrastructure (police, fire), Education, Parks and Rec, etc. Everyone get's a chance to speak, to catch up. How 'bout it? If not, we'll have no right to complain at a later date.
