Toddler Injured in I-80 Shooting

The baby was hit by broken glass when a bullet shattered the vehicle's window.

A toddler was injured by broken glass in a drive-by shooting on Interstate Highway 80 in Richmond this evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident was reported around 7:45 p.m. near Richmond Parkway.

Two adults and three children had been traveling east on Highway 80 when the vehicle was struck by at least one bullet.

The driver exited the highway and parked at a gas station, according to the CHP.

The injured 2-year-old was treated at the scene.
