Vibrant Skies & Setting Sun: Pinole Photos Of The Week

PINOLE, CA — As the lightning-strike fires bring destruction and danger to the San Francisco Bay Area regions, the accompanying, smoke-filled skies are creating intense sunsets throughout the region — with one captured in two photographs snapped last week in Pinole.

Patch reader Deborah Green took these images Thursday from her backyard — one of the evening sun peeking through haze and trees, and another of that day's smoke-layered sunset.
