Project Second Chance, the Contra Costa County Library adult literacy program, is offering training for volunteer tutors. Volunteers are needed to help adults improve basic reading, writing and spelling skills. The training takes place on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 6:30 to 8:30 pm and the following two Saturdays at 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. All 14 hours are required.
To take the training, you must pre-register. Registration is open until all spots are full. Training takes place at the Pleasant Hill Library, but the opening session also takes place at the Hercules Library. After training tutoring can take place at the library of your choice.
