When Does School Start in Pinole?

Let the countdown begin. It’s summer and there's still plenty of time to enjoy your favorite activities and family vacations.

But before you know it, back-to-school season will begin and you’ll be at stores to buy school supplies and the latest fashions.

In the West Contra Costa Unified School District, classes begin on Aug. 20 for elementary school, middle school and high school students.

If you have a child entering seventh grade, remember that you'll need to show proof of the Tdap booster shot before starting school. The vaccine protects against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis, also know as whooping cough.

So enjoy those summer vacations to give your brains a rest so you can be back and ready to learn.
