I-80 Reopens After Brush Fire Stalls Traffic In Hercules

The far right lane of Interstate 80 is closed at the east end of the Carquinez Bridge due to a brush fire, officials said.

The fire, located just west of the toll plaza, broke out around 8:40 a.m., according to the CHP. A Sig-alert has been called and motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes.

HERCULES, CA — All lanes of Interstate 80 on the east end of the Carquinez Bridge are now open and traffic is flowing smoothly with no delays.

The far right lane of Interstate 80 had been closed at the east end of the Carquinez Bridge due to a brush fire, according to the California Highway Patrol. All lanes are now open.
