Women at Work: Pinole Garden Club

Among the unsung volunteers in town, the members of the Pinole Garden Club spent part of Tuesday lending their skills to maintain the landscaping at the Welcome Wall on Pinole Valley Road at Interstate 80.

The group pulled and dug out weeds, trimmed shrubs, repaired irrigation and replaced flowers, as they have done on a regular basis for many years. During our visit, a man stopped his van long enough to shout through his window, "I love the Pinole Garden Club!"
