2 Hospitalized After Double Motorcycle Crash In Contra Costa Co.

One victim was flown to John Muir. [Breaking]

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – Two people were seriously injured late Saturday night after a double motorcycle crash in Oakley, according to East Contra Costa Fire Protection District officials.

Fire officials said several emergency personnel were dispatched to 5780 Main St. at 10:51 p.m. on reports of a motorcycle colliding with a second motorcycle from behind.

Upon arrival, firefighters found two men suffering from what appeared to be major chest and shoulder injuries.

One of the victims was flown to John Muir Trauma Center by a medical helicopter, while an ambulance took the other victim to a hospital, according to fire officials.

The incident is under investigation by Oakley police.
