9 Busted, Drugs Seized In Gang-Activity Sweep In Nearby Concord
Complaints about neighborhood gang problems led to the operation.

CONCORD, CA --Concord police Friday night arrested nine people and seized drugs in a citywide operation aimed at alleviating residents concerns about gang activity in the city, police said.
Police recently received numerous complaints from residents of a variety of neighborhoods about the gang activity.
Focusing on pockets of the city where gang members were known to live, hang out and operate, officers contacted about 80 people.

The contacts led to more than a dozen probation and parole searches and the nine arrests, police said.
