All Hwy 4 Lanes Open: Four Fires Doused
Four brush fires were reported this morning near Willow Pass Road.

All lanes have reopened on state Highway 4 after firefighters doused four small brush fires near Concord this morning, according to a fire official and the California Highway Patrol.
Fire crews responded shortly before 10 a.m. to a report of four spot fires in the area of Willow Pass Road and Highway 4 near the Concord city line, a dispatcher with the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said. Witnesses calling CHP reported heavy smoke from the fire making it difficult to see the road.
A Sig-alert, issued at 10:27 a.m. for two right-hand lanes on Highway 4, was lifted at 10:57 a.m. after firefighters contained the last of four small fires, according to the CHP and a fire dispatcher.
