Assistance League Diablo Valley Member Volunteers “Get it Done!”
Mazlow's "Hierarchy of Needs" includes safety, order/predictability, love, and being connected to part of a group.

Prior to Assistance League® Diablo Valley regular meeting in November, Receiving Center Backpacks Program Chair Susan Petersdorf shared information as to how Aspiranet accommodates children and teens who have been removed from their homes due to family crisis.
Ms. Petersdorf concluded with a Receiving Center Backpack display and a sign-up sheet for an assembly scheduled for early December to fill 120 backpacks for children ages 6 to11 and 40 backpacks for toddlers ages 2 to 5.
At this writing, member volunteers seen in this photo gathered to fill 160 backpacks, which were then transported by Aspiranet staff members to two foster youth facilities in Contra Costa County.
