Assistance League of Diablo Valley's On My Way Program Receives Donation From Walnut Creek Rotary

: "Putting Caring and Commitment into Action" transforms household supplies into gifts of encouragement.

Assistance League® of Diablo Valley Speakers Bureau Chairman Sue Gannon (l) and Resource Development VP Nancy Fay (c) look on in delight as Grants Committee Chairman Wendy Schmitz receives check in the amount of $2,000 from Walnut Creek Rotary Club President Dess Benedetto (r).

Presented at a recent meeting, the grant is designated to fill On My Way Kits with household and cleaning supplies, items many times taken for granted, to benefit CCC Independent Living Skills Program recipients. (The Independent Living Skills Program was designed to help students transition from foster care to independent living.) As important, the On My Way Kits convey a message of encouragement and hope for young adults in our community who face overwhelming obstacles.
