Assistance League Thrift Shop’s Grandma’s Attic Event Revisited
Help those who are vulnerable while visiting the past.

The dedicated member volunteers at Assistance League® Thrift Shop, located next to the Park Theater in Lafayette ask: Have you ever chanced upon a place nearly forgotten only to find that its memories waited patiently for your return? Such a visit to Grandma’s Attic Event, beginning Tuesday, August 29, at 10 am offers that adventure.
Discover such treasures as women’s and men’s clothing, shoes, décor and household items, toys, books, lamps, as well as kitchen and tabletop items; all harkening to earlier times and bygone prices. See what a $2-to-$150 price range does for your pocketbook.
Recently, an antique carpet bag surfaced, resplendent with a handwritten tag, dating from 1850 to 1865. Its engraved, brass frame offers further documentation. Likewise, a Victorian baby carriage with porcelain doll might appeal to the doll collector and/or historian. As always, there is no guarantee as to when these items might sell, so please plan accordingly.
