BART New Website Lets Riders Know If Escalators are Down
A new online advisory on BART's website now lists all out-of-service escalators and their location

BART riders will now be able to be one step ahead of the commute by finding out in advance if the escalator at any given station is working, BART officials announced Thursday.
A new online advisory on BART’s website now lists all out-of-service escalators and their location, according to BART officials.
The advisory also gives the reason for the outage and an estimated date of when the escalator will return to service, BART officials said.

The new feature is part of an effort on behalf of BART to increase transparency and to better communicate with riders, according to BART officials.
The escalator advisories can be found on BART’s website at https://www.bart.gov/stations/escalators.
