WHO:  The public is invited to participate. Arrive early and wear black with a white and green ribbon. Plan to stand or lie down on the stage for several minutes (bring black plastic trash bag to put over clothes if raining).  Wear white and green ribbons for Sandy Brook Elementary School colors. The event is sponsored by the San Francisco, San Mateo/Santa Clara, Oakland/Alameda County, and Contra Costa County Chapters of the CA Brady Campaign.

WHY:  Four Bay Area Chapters of the California Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence are staging a Lie-In to honor the memory of the Newtown victims and send a message to our elected officials that “Enough is Enough – the Carnage Must End!” We will not let Congress, the President, and all elected officials off the hook yet again and this story will not "die" until they make some serious changes in our gun laws.  A "lie in" consists of people lying down one by one, silent and all in black, to represent those killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre. Names of the Newtown victims and other CA shooting victims will be read.    For more information:  1ofamillion@comcast.net
