Carjacking, Kidnapping Suspect Identified By Pleasant Hill Police
BREAKING: Police say Vincent Wilson, 23, thought to be armed and dangerous, frequents Martinez, Pleasant Hill, Concord and Walnut Creek.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- Pleasant Hill police have obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect wanted in connection with a string of crimes that allegedly occurred on Monday morning. Vincent Wilson, 23, allegedly engaged in carjacking, kidnapping felony evasion and fleeing the scene of a traffic collision around 7:20 a.m.
at the corner of Contra Costa Boulevard and Viking Drive, according to police.
The incident began when Martinez police officers spotted a stolen car and began pursuing it. Police ended the pursuit, however, because of safety concerns, but the driver, later identified as Wilson, continued to speed through the city and into neighboring Pleasant Hill.
Wilson's vehicle then collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Viking Drive and Contra Costa Boulevard, police said.

The collision injured a 2-year-old child and the child's mother, who were both taken to a hospital where they were treated and later released.
Immediately following the collision, Wilson allegedly ran from the stolen vehicle and carjacked another vehicle that was stopped in traffic.

Police said Wilson took over the vehicle from its driver and drove the vehicle and the driver to a Martinez neighborhood where Wilson fled, leaving the kidnapping victim there. The kidnapping victim was not harmed.
Wilson, who is thought to be armed and dangerous, is described as a being 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He is known to frequent Martinez, Pleasant Hill, Concord and Walnut Creek.
